Here are brief descriptions for each AutoFastFit role:
1) Retail Parts Advisor
The first point of contact for trade and retail customers at the counter and on the phone. You'll identify the right parts using vehicle registration and catalogue lookups, give clear advice, process sales and returns, and keep the counter area stocked and organised. Good product knowledge, accuracy and friendly customer service are key.
2) Parts & Inventory Supervisor
Oversees stock control across the parts operation. Responsibilities include managing goods-in and dispatch, running stock counts and reconciliations, setting reorder levels, liaising with suppliers on orders and returns, and keeping system data accurate. You'll also supervise the parts team and make sure the workshop has the parts it needs on time.
3) Experienced Mechanic
Carries out servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles, including brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, clutch and towbar fitting. You'll prepare vehicles for NCT, complete jobs to a high standard within agreed times, and record work accurately on job cards. A recognised qualification and solid hands-on experience are required.
4) Workshop Manager
Runs the day-to-day workshop operation. You'll schedule jobs and staff, check quality and turnaround, manage health and safety and equipment upkeep, and handle customer queries, estimates and escalations. Working closely with the parts team, you'll drive efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction while leading and developing the mechanics.
