#1 Auto Technician  / Car Mechanic - Qualified

We are looking for a professional mechanic that is fully qualified with papers or time served to match. Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles.

Their primary focus is on ensuring that vehicles operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Vehicle Inspection:

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and assess their overall condition.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
Diagnosis and Repair:

Diagnose problems based on customer complaints, inspection results, and computerized diagnostic tests.
Perform a range of repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and electrical system repairs.
Replace or repair defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
Routine Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Follow manufacturer guidelines for scheduled maintenance services to ensure vehicle reliability and longevity.
Testing and Adjustment:

Test and adjust vehicle components to meet performance specifications.
Ensure proper alignment, balancing, and calibration of systems and components.
Documentation: 

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks performed.
Provide detailed explanations and documentation to customers regarding recommended repairs and associated costs.
Customer Interaction:

Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of necessary repairs.
Address customer questions and concerns regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Continued Learning:

Stay up-to-date with advances in automotive technology and attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Obtain certifications in specific areas to demonstrate expertise in particular automotive systems.
Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow environmental regulations for proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other technicians, service advisors, and support staff to efficiently manage workload and provide excellent customer service.
Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, explaining repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Advise customers on tyre safety and wear
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards

Position: Full-Time (Monday–Friday or 4-day week available)

AutoFastFit Letterkenny is expanding our team! We’re looking for a skilled or semi-skilled **Tow Bar Fitter** to install high-quality tow bars and electrical kits on cars, vans, and SUVs. Experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.

**What You’ll Be Doing:**
- Fitting tow bars and associated wiring kits (7-pin/13-pin)
- Working on a range of vehicle makes and models
- Integrating with modern vehicle electronics (CAN systems)
- Performing quality checks and ensuring safe installation
- Maintaining workshop safety and cleanliness

4) Parts Advisor


Position Title: Car Parts Advisor
Department: Parts & Service
Reports To: Parts Manager / Service Manager

Role Purpose

The Car Parts Advisor at AutoFastFit plays a key role in ensuring customers—both retail and trade—receive the correct automotive parts, advice, and support. This position combines technical product knowledge with excellent customer service skills to help drivers, garages, and service teams get vehicles back on the road quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Sales

    • Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email.

    • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts, accessories, and upgrades.

    • Provide clear, accurate, and timely quotations.

    • Upsell and cross-sell relevant products and services.

  • Parts Identification & Supply

    • Use manufacturer catalogues, databases, and diagnostic information to correctly identify required parts.

    • Check stock availability and arrange special orders when needed.

    • Ensure all parts supplied are correct and meet quality standards.

  • Stock Control & Organisation

    • Maintain up-to-date inventory records.

    • Assist with stocktakes, deliveries, and returns.

    • Keep parts storage areas clean, organised, and secure.

  • Team Collaboration

    • Liaise with workshop and service teams to coordinate timely parts supply for repairs.

    • Support colleagues by sharing product knowledge and best practices.

  • Administration & Compliance

    • Process sales invoices, returns, and warranty claims accurately.

    • Follow all company health & safety and environmental procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a parts advisor or automotive retail role (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of car parts, makes, and models (training can be provided).

  • Excellent communication skills—both customer-facing and internal.

  • IT literacy and familiarity with parts catalogues and POS systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requests.
